Based on each exhibition’s thematic focus, the Kunstverein Bielefeld develops a specific outreach program which aims to make artistic experiment more accessible, designed for a variety of age groups and interests. As well as lectures and discussions, we offer guided tours, workshops and seminars.
GUIDED TOURS
On Sundays at 17:00, all are invited to join our public guided tour. Kunstverein staff will guide you through current exhibitions, offering insights into their thematic focus. Inclusive and multilingual guided tours are held on a regular basis. Entrance is free.
GROUP GUIDED TOURS
Please inquire for details on tours for groups, companies and private associations. All tours can be conducted in English on request.

SEMINARS
The Kunstverein develops projects in collaboration with universities and other third-level institutions, allowing participants to learn about and get involved in contemporary discourse, reflecting on key questions from various points of view.
The seminar "Behind the Scenes. A podcast about the production processes in art" takes place in cooperation with the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld. At a place where art is shown, we want to explore together, as well as in in-depth conversations with artists and curators, the questions of how and under what conditions artistic works are created, which tools and media are used in the process, but also which networks and places are relevant for the creation and dissemination of these works. The conversations will be published in a podcast, the concept and realization of which are central components of the seminar. Accompanying the seminar, two smaller workshops will be held by Marcus Wildelau. They serve as an introduction to recording technologies, the podcast format, and the post-production of sound recordings. The seminar is aimed at students who are interested in artistic working methods, production processes and curatorial practice, or who want to develop and realize a podcast. With Nadine Droste, Oriane Durand and Kirsten Wagner.
In cooperation with the Department of Design at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld.
The seminar will take place from 29.09.2022 for students of the FH Bielefeld (BA Level 2/3 or MA) at the Kunstverein Bielefeld and at FH Bielefeld.
The podcast contributions will be published on on the digital platform of the Kunstverein www.kunstverein-bielefeld.online from 2023.

Museums-Rally

Six Bielefeld museums, along with the association Bielefelder Konsens – Pro BI, invite you to guess and win. In cooperation with Bielefeld Historical Museum, Kunstforum Hermann Stenner, Kunsthalle Bielefeld, Museum Huelsmann and Museum of Natural HistorySix museums, 36 questions and two bicycles! Our initiative can be summed up in this short formula.
In the booklets distributed on Sunday, 15.05.2022, you will find a series of questions for children aged 8 – 12 and a series of questions for adults and young people aged 13 and over. All questions deal with different special features of the respective museum. And the answers to the questions are hidden in the museums on the action day. Your task: Visit at least five museums (free admission!) and answer all the questions there!
Found all the answers? Then hand in the completed booklet at the last station and take part in the raffle (don't forget your contact details). The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, 22.05.2022, 16:00, in the courtyard of the Kunstverein (Welle 61).
